Stories of our New Energy Future - video advocacy series

CLIENT

Department of Environment, Land, Water and Planning

The Department of Environment, Land, Water and Planning (DELWP) is a Victorian State Government department focused on creating a liveable, inclusive and sustainable Victoria with thriving natural environments - where the community is at the centre of everything we do.

The Problem

The Community Partnerships team at DELWP identified that a challenge to the rollout of renewable energy projects in the Loddon Mallee was the opposition of some local community members and indifference from many others. There was a distinct lack of understanding of what renewable energy actually is and the potential positive impact it could have on regional townships. DELWP enlisted Hebron Films to tackle this challenge through the design and production of informative and engaging online video content.

Hebron Films led the DELWP team through a collaborative concept development process which helped guide the production of three films. These films told stories of how renewable energy was helping strengthen businesses and communities in the Loddon Mallee.

The films were released on the ADAPT Loddon Mallee Facebook page and LinkedIn, gaining fast organic traction with over 5,000 views and over 60 shares in the first 2 weeks.
